Saturday Testing Now Available At Select MDX Labs Sites
Henderson, Nev. – July 15, 2022 – COVID-19 testing is now available on Saturdays at two MDX Labs locations between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Saturday testing availability is an effort by MDX Labs to provide Southern Nevadans with a weekend testing option as Clark County remains in the “high” category for community-level COVID-19, according to the Southern Nevada Health District.
Additionally, U.S. Health officials believe the BA.5 subvariant now accounts for 65 percent of current COVID-19 cases in the United States and is the most easily transmissible COVID variant to date.
MDX Labs has offered testing with “no out-of-pocket cost” to insured and uninsured individuals from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to current legislative changes, the governmental reimbursement program for those without health insurance has temporarily paused. Therefore, testing options and pricing are listed below for uninsured clients. Those WITH medical insurance will continue to experience “no out-of-pocket cost.”
MDX Labs offers a non-invasive oral collection method at its drive-thru locations as well as an anterior nasal swab option.
Rapid Antigen – Anterior nasal swab collection method offers superior accuracy to “at-home tests” and results are provided in approximately 10 minutes— $75.
Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) – A non-invasive oral collection method, as well as an anterior nasal swab, is available. Both options provide results within 1-2 days via email—$150.
Travel Test – For individuals visiting the U.S. and traveling internationally, passport identification is required. Results are provided within 1-2 days via email—$200.
Those seeking a COVID-19 test are not required to have an appointment. Payment can be with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or Union Pay card at the time of service. Cash is not accepted.
Saturdays, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
As a result of the high community level of COVID-19 in Clark County, SNHD strongly recommends masks in indoor public areas, and they stay up to date on their COVID-19 vaccines. COVID-19 community-level metrics include:
