It will cost you some money to clean your phone’s speaker, but you can get a complete cleaning kit to ensure the proper and safe cleaning of the phone's speaker. This is the best way to do it as the tools required will have been fashioned for the purpose by professionals. Doing it yourself will mean you will have to repurpose tools that will fit in the tiny space.

Well, if you don’t want to spend money to clean your phone speaker grille then there are some home remedies too! You can use a small, soft-bristled brush to remove the dirt from the opening pores of the phone speaker. Ensure that the brush that you’re using is soft-bristled, clean and dry, so it won’t cause damage to the phone speaker. Also read: Save your documents on WhatsApp! A sticky tape which is one of the basic items that you can find easily can be great for getting surface dust and dirt off your phone’s speaker grille. Simply tear a piece off and loop it around your finger while keeping the glue part outside and then gently dab your phone’s speaker grille to remove the dust. Make sure that glue residue is not left on the grill. This can happen often with really cheap sticky tapes. So, test it on glass or steel object before using it on your phone.

A compressed Air pump can help to clean not only your speaker grille but also the charging port. Some cleaning kits do offer these compressed air pumps. Again, do not use an industrial strength airpump. You need something that sends a firm stream of air into the grill something like what you may have seen being used to clean PCs.

Well, if your phone is fairly new and you are a dedicated cleanliness freak, then regular cleaning with a simple cotton cloth will do too. Remember, it has to be done frequently enough so that a lot of grime does not get attached to the phone speaker. Again, make sure the cloth does not leave behind any fabric or hair-like strands.
